Dr. Sullivan is seeing a limited number of patients in person, see COVID-19 page.

What is telemedicine?

Telemedicine is the practice of caring for patients remotely when the provider and patient are not physically present with each other. Modern technology has enabled doctors to consult patients by using HIPAA compliant video-conferencing tools, similar to Zoom or FaceTime.

How does it work?

We’ll send you a link that you click on when it’s time for your appointment. You can use any smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer with a camera and microphone. The software will ask for your name, and you’ll be ready to go in less than 1 minute. Dr. Sullivan will be notified that you’re online and ready for your appointment and he’ll start the video call on his end.

How much does it cost?

Most insurance companies in WA state are covering telemedicine visits just as the they would cover in person office visits during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some insurance companies will no longer cover telemedicine when the threat of COVID-19 lowers in the community. We can check to see if your insurance will cover the visit prior to your appointment. If you don’t have insurance coverage for telemedicine, then the rates are the same as in-person medical visits with Dr. Sullivan.

Tips for a better telemedicine experience:

We recommend that prior to your video call with Dr. Sullivan you set yourself up for our video call near your internet router (if possible), away from background noise, and close other tabs on your browser/computer so that we have a better chance at a good connection.”
